This is a one of a kind Stratotone that I made using an absolutely beautiful bookmatched .150″ solid birdseye maple top I call “Angel’s wings”. It’s a hollow “Tone Chambered” body made exactly like the originals. I used a set of handmade Carl DeArmond (the grandson of Harry DeArmond of Rowe Industries fame) mini humbucker sized single coils which have a great full rich sound. I used a simple single CTS 1 meg ohm vol pot and a 250 k ohm tone pot with a vintage .33 mf oil in paper cap with a three way rotary switch all capped with vintage Dakaware knobs.
This piece of wood is an amazing mix of flame and birdseye maple with a pair of what looks like angel wings at the bottom on either side of the vintage Bigsby B-3 trem.
The top was so beautiful I decided I didn’t want to cover any of it with a pick guard so I put access to the wiring on the back
The neck is a Harmony H-73 Roy Smeck model that i smoothed and repainted. I used a piece of birdseye maple veneer on the face of the headstock to compliment the body
